What is the JOBS=PAYCHECKS NOW initiative?

The JOBS=PAYCHECKS NOW Initiative is a $1 million investment in the local recovery of our community made possible by the collaboration between WORKFORCE plus and Workforce Florida, Inc.

Do I qualify?

In order to qualify, you must be:

  1. Terminated/laid off or notified of lay off;
  2. Eligible for or exhausted Unemployment Compensation benefits
  3. Laid off due to a plant closure or substantial layoffs at a plant or facility
  4. Males between the ages of 18-26 must have registered for selective service (www.sss.gov)
  5. Possess a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  6. Reside in Gadsden, Leon, or Wakulla Counties
  7. Be 18 or older and eligible to work in the United States.
  8. Be determined eligible under the Workforce Investment Act Dislocated Worker program
  9. Willing to participate in a quick online assessment for suitability
